This week has had a few first for Miranda and I.

On Friday we went for a long walk, making this her first stroller trip where she did not cry. She enjoyed looking around and eventually fell asleep in the stroller. Friday also was the first time that she almost got out of her bath seat during a bath. She does this by planting her feet on the bottom and pushing her back in to the back of the seat and then tries to roll out of the seat. Not fun trying to hold a very mad slippery baby. She does not seem to like baths at all. I've made them a little warmer and a little cooler still she tries to get out of the water each time.

On Saturday we also went to Mom and Baby yoga at a studio in Kent , we ended up being the only two people there. So we ended up getting a private yoga class. The class integrates the baby into some of the poses as resistance other times the mom or parent interacts with the baby while holding a pose. She did enjoy several poses. She liked being held while I twisted from side to side and she also liked to be lifted above my head and brought back down. She was too interested in being held during chair pose or on my legs. She was very interested in the ceiling fan in the studio. It felt so good to stretch but I am a bit sore. Miranda was ok with the class for about a half hour. She than wanted to eat and did not want to be put down. I'm going to try again next Saturday with her and hope to also go to one of the night classes on my own to get back into doing yoga regularly.
