August was a very busy month for us. The first week of the month I babysat our old neighbor's girls for three days and Miranda loved it. Than their mom watched Miranda for us and we had our first date night in three months. We went to my favorite restaurant, Salty's at Redondo Beach. We had a great evening of Seafood and beautiful views of the Puget Sound. It was wonderful and I'm glad Miranda likes our neighbor and her girls so we did not feel guilty about leaving her.
On August 13th we flew back to my home town for my baby sister's wedding. It was an exhausting week since the wedding and reception was at my parents house there was a lot of work to be done. Unfortunately due to jet lag I was not much help the first day, I still feel guilty about that. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was fun. As you can see from the above picture Miranda had a blast at the reception sitting in the dirt and covering all of her dress in dirt.
I was also able to finally see my nephew and niece in person. They are such cute kids. The best part of seeing them was when they got crabby they went back to their mommy or daddy. I was also able to squeeze in seeing some other members of my family after the wedding weekend. I was able to visit with my aunt and uncle and their two kids for several hours the most time I've spent with them since we moved out west.
Three days after we got back Miranda came down with a fever of 103 we brought her to the ER and she had fluid and her ear was inflamed. She refused to take the antibiotics and tylenol so we mixed tylenol with her drinks and held off on the antibiotics. Her fever dropped in two days and she seemed to get better than she came down with at nasty flu for almost a week. Than Aaron got sick and last weekend I came down with it. So for the past two weeks we have been doing nothing but lounging on the couch and watching tv. Miranda is an addict now. During this time I've been stressed about getting stuff together for preschool. I have to do an orientation on Monday and again Tuesday for all the Health and Safety Reps since I am now on the Board. I also still need to fill out all of Miranda's paperwork for school by Tuesday night; all I want to do is knit.

It was great to see you again! I think Jenn's wedding was the first time we had seen each other sine you moved "way out there" LOL Which means it was also the first time I saw Miranda! That's scary!
Sounds like Miranda is going to love preschool!
BTW thanks for the lead on those sandals! I ordered some right after we got home from the wedding and love them! I wear them pretty much every chance I get!
